Cartoon Workshops for Adults & Kids

Cartoon Workshops for adults and kids are being hosted by Queensland State Archives in July and September respectively. Gary Clark will be teaching the foundations of the creative process for cartooning – from idea development to finished comic page. This workshop combines cartooning demonstrations with fast-paced interactive learning to teach the basics and learn from the creative process. Participants will develop their own cartoon characters and walk away with a finished comic page.
The workshops are free. Numbers are limited so booking is essential. The Adults Workshop is on Saturday, July 14 from 11.00am – 3.00pm to be held at Queensland State Archives, 435 Compton Rd, Runcorn. Participants must 18 years and over. Cartoon books are available for purchase on the day and Gary will autograph them. Please book here.

Gary Clark will be using Bob Crayfish to inspire budding cartoonists

The Kids Workshop is held during school holidays on Thursday, September 27 11.00am – 1.00pm at the Queensland State Archives. It is for children aged 12- 17 years. Parents/Guardians must stay on site during the workshop. Cartoon books are available for purchase on the day and Gary will autograph them. Please book here.
